Trip, I will be watching your thread closely as I plan to install a salt water wash myself. I'll pass on any research I do.

You should look at some of the postings by Pescamexicana in the International Pangas section of this forum. He has experience with smaller engines on Imemsas.

It looks good to me.  Who built your front compartment?

I went on a friend's Contender 50 miles offshore with six people on board. The best seats in the house were on one of his two bean bags. You don't feel the hard pounding that aēcompanies travelling fast over medium choppy water. I plan to get one for my 22-foot Panga.

Any of you ever mount a transducer on the transom of a PM 22?

Tino, you may want check with Tom at PM about this, but if I had it to do over, I would not glass in my deck. The Arjay 7121 is very strong on its own. If you fill around t he edges with Arjay 1301 or some other fairing compound, your deck will be water tight and very secure. You would still need to glass around your rigging tubes, of course. Just food for thought.

Thanks, Anthony. I went ahead and ordered a can. It's a lot cheaper than some of those other products. I'm still waiting for my electronics box (ordered in August). When it arrives, I can install my radio and Lowrance. Meanwhile the boat is limited to inshore outings. It is performing quite well; it gets up on plane very quickly, runs smoothly at cruise, etc. I can't wait until I can quantify all that with mph and mpg numbers.

Yes, anodized aluminum.

My aluminum T-top is getting splotches all over it from the salt air. Anybody have any ideas? I thought about products like Woody Wax, Rupps Alumagrip, or Corrosion X.
10  Panga Discussion / Panga Tech Talk / Re: arjay 7121 Where? on: December 28, 2015, 10:23:48 AM
Fantastic, Tino! You might want to look at my thread and the one posted by Anthony Vitucci. Both of us are building 22-foot Panga Marine hulls. I got a lot of excellent advice from people with more knowledge and experience than me. Feel free to contact me when it comes time to order parts; I have all my receipts and can help you find the best price.

I got some from Fiberlay in Sarasota, Fl. Their phone number is 941-923-2133. Good luck with your build, what ever it is!
12  Panga Discussion / Panga Marine / Re: 20 Super Skiff Question on: November 16, 2015, 06:14:31 AM
I don't know about a Super Skiff, but Captain Tyler has a rear casting deck on his 22-foot Marquesas.  You can see pics under his posts on this forum.  Go to "Panga Marine", page 2,  "Finally got another Panga."
13  Panga Discussion / Panga Marine / Re: Started my Panga Marine 22 DIY project on: October 27, 2015, 09:38:01 AM
I can relate to that, Anthony. I just tell people that it will never be done, I will be working on it forever.
14  Panga Discussion / International Pangas / Re: B60 thru hull transducer where to mount on: September 26, 2015, 08:46:54 AM
Sorry about the misspelled name; the IPad likes to 'autocorrect' names.
15  Panga Discussion / International Pangas / Re: B60 thru hull transducer where to mount on: September 26, 2015, 08:44:34 AM
Baccalaureate, I too have an HDS-7 and will be installing it as soon as my electronics box arrived. I elected to go with transom-mount transducers, mainly because I didn't want to cut any more holes in the hull. Is there some compelling reason that you are going with a thru-hull transducer?
