Cool project!   You should keep in mind that the boat was rigged with twins engines (450 HP) for the purpose of transporting drugs. The twin engines generated the kind of speed necessary to out run law enforcement agents.  I would think a single 200+ HP engine would easily push that craft through the water @ 20-30 Knots.

Keep us posted on the progress.
