I have a 26 angler panga. I have a Transome mount now and I'm thinking of changing to a through hull. Will that work? I heard they wont work if there is foam in the hull. There is a thread on here that said it will work. I'm just hesitant to buy one and try it. With the set up i have now i loose capture when ever I'm moving. Any help would be great.

I have an airmar b260 flush mounted and have no issues at all. Where mine is installed there was no foam. Are you planning to use the high speed plainer? I tried that at first but it caused cavitation when I turned hard over to one side. Flush mount is the way to go.
